Features Creates a clear, glass-like arc of water from the deck to the pool LED-ready design accepts compatible Hayward ColorLogic and CrystaLogic 160 or 320 Accent Lights Recommended operating flow of 6–7 GPM Produces a water arc up to 7 feet high with an 8-foot maximum throw Integrated flow adjustment controls stream height and distance without tools Adjustable collar helps correct minor deck-installation angles Deck lid adjusts in 1/8-inch increments up to 3/8 inch for finish alignment Gray finish coordinates with common concrete, stone and paver decks Designed for permanently installed in-ground and commercial pools or spas Description The Hayward ColorLogic Laminar adds a clean architectural water effect to new pool construction and major deck renovations. During the day, it produces a peaceful, glass-like stream. When fitted with a compatible Hayward Accent Light, the complete system turns the arc into an illuminated water feature after dark. The integrated valve allows the stream height and distance to be adjusted without tools. At the recommended 6–7 GPM operating flow, the laminar can produce an arc up to 7 feet high with an 8-foot maximum throw. Final performance depends on plumbing layout, available flow, elevation and installation conditions. This listing includes the deck niche, collar, gray lid, entry port, disruptor assembly, water inlet assembly, laminar jet and screw pack. The LED Accent Light, 12VAC transformer, pump, filter, check valve, external flow-control valve, plumbing, conduit and installation materials are sold separately. Installation Plan the laminar location, arc path, plumbing circuit, drainage and optional lighting before installing the deck. Provide a filtered water supply and a drainage gravel pit beneath the deck niche. Rough in the 1-inch water line and 1-inch electrical conduit according to the Hayward installation drawing. Use the specified drain connection and provide approximately 4–6 inches of drain pipe into the gravel pit. Pressure-test the water line at no more than 15 psi and flush out construction debris before installing the jet. For illuminated installations, connect a compatible Accent Light only through an approved 12VAC pool-light transformer. Never connect the light directly to 120V power. Leave approximately 3 feet of light cord inside the deck niche for future service. Start water flow gradually and adjust the system to approximately 6–7 GPM for the best stream quality. Winterize the laminar according to the Hayward manual wherever freezing conditions are possible. Pro Tip Install equal-length plumbing loops when multiple laminars are the same distance from the equipment pad. Use individual valves when distances vary so each stream can be balanced independently. Keep the internal screens clean to preserve a smooth, glass-like arc.
