GULF KOMARA FC - HOME SHIRT 2025 Gulf Komara Football Club, known for sponsorship reasons as PRK Komara Gulf and formerly as Erema Gulf FC, are a Papua New Guinean side representing the remote Gulf Province on the country's southern coast. Formed in their current guise in 2018 after earlier attempts to break into the national game, they are backed by Petroleum Resources Kutubu and play their matches at the Bisini Grounds in the capital, Port Moresby, the centralised home of top-flight Papua New Guinean football. The 2025 season, during which this celebratory home shirt was worn, was the greatest in the club's short history. Under head coach David Aua, a former Papua New Guinea international goalkeeper, Gulf Komara were crowned national champions for the first time. They finished second in the regular season with eleven wins, seven draws and just two defeats, then came through the play-offs to lift the title. It was sweet redemption. Having reached the showpiece final the previous year only to fall short against Hekari United, the country's most decorated club, Gulf Komara returned in 2025 to finish the job and claim the biggest prize in the domestic game. For a provincial side from one of the most sparsely populated corners of Papua New Guinea, toppling the established order to be crowned champions of the nation was a remarkable achievement, and this is the shirt in which they did it.
