Verdigris Bronze Xi Zhou Dynasty Style Urn
This reproduction bronze urn is inspired by ceremonial vessels from China’s Western Zhou Dynasty (c. 1046–771 BC). Its substantial form has a broad, faceted body rising to a tall neck, richly decorated with archaic-style motifs and inscriptions. Particularly distinctive are the stylised horse head handles, each fitted with a large loose ring. A removable upper section sits within the neck, while the aged verdigris finish gives the bronze the appearance of an excavated ancient vessel. A striking decorative piece that works equally well as a sculptural object or statement vase.
