Join Jenna Reedy of Fish Prints by Jenna in The Classroom at Noted for a Gyotaku‑Inspired Fish Prints Class. This modern, acrylic‑based approach is inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku. The Gyotaku‑Inspired Fish Prints class is about 2 hours and will include everything you need to participate and you will leave with multiple finished fish prints. In this hands‑on introductory class, you’ll learn a modern, acrylic‑based approach to gyotaku — the Japanese art of fish printing. Participants will paint, press, and pull their own fish prints using real fish and a colorful palette. The goal is for everyone to leave with 1-2 prints that can then be framed. Classgoers will be working with a mix of fish that are 6 - 28 inches long. Wear clothes that can get messy! Aprons and gloves are provided, if needed, but sometimes when making art its more fun to just let the mess happen! We offer complimentary beverages. These events are not byob.
