ADV Tactical Harpoon F17 Satin Frag – N690

The ADV Tactical Harpoon F17 pairs its unmistakable harpoon blade with a full titanium frame and a sharp black-and-satin Frag finish. The 3.875″ N690 blade features the pronounced harpoon profile that gives the F17 so much of its character. A long fuller accentuates the blade geometry, while the pronounced harpoon profile and swedge give the blade its aggressive character. The satin finish works especially well here, bringing out the blade geometry and contrasting cleanly against the darker elements of the handle. At 0.186″ thick with a flat grind, this is a stout blade that still maintains a full 3.53″ cutting edge. The titanium handle is machined with ADV’s Frag pattern, using black recessed channels against satin-finished raised sections to give the entire handle a high-contrast grid appearance. Beyond the visual effect, the milling provides plenty of texture in hand without relying on an overly aggressive surface. Black accents around the frame further break up the satin titanium and tie the presentation together. Deployment comes from the flipper tab with the blade riding on bearings. At 7.30 ounces, there is real mass behind the F17, giving the opening action a substantial feel that suits the knife particularly well. The titanium frame lock keeps the construction straightforward, while pronounced finger contours and the textured handle provide a secure, planted grip. A titanium pocket clip incorporates ADV’s rollerball system and can be positioned for either tip-up or tip-down right-hand carry. Titanium hardware and a titanium backspacer complete the build. At 9 inches overall, the Harpoon F17 is unapologetically substantial without becoming oversized. The combination of satin N690, black-and-satin Frag titanium and the unmistakable harpoon blade gives this build a clean industrial look with plenty of ADV attitude.
