Chick with a myriad of keyboards and John Patitucci on bass and Dave Weckl on drums. Chick was already a legend and John and Dave were the hottest new players on the scene. "The Keyboard gear I used at Elario's was extensive including the massive Synclavier. I had the idea that I would "orchestrate" the music and still keep it a trio. I soon started adding more musicians to the band so I could concentrate on fewer chores while playing - until the Elektric Band was a quintet and I was down to a Fender Rhodes and a piano (Paint the World).
