Domaine Philippe Tessier Cheverny Rose

He believes that it should give pleasure but must also be sound and healthy, alive and digestible and above all, it should be a natural wine."-Zev Rovine Selections In 1961, Philippe's father Roger Tessier founded Domaine Tessier, with Philippe taking over in 1981. They currently have 23ha of vines in the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny AOCs of the Loire Valley. This is not easy drinking summer rose from Provence. (which can be delicious) Tessier's rose is a textured, energetic, and structured blend of Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Cot. Wild strawberry, raspberry, and pomegranate lead the fruit side of this wine with further notes of pink grapefruit and pomelo. An excellent rose petal presence can also be felt in this wine, altogether making for a rose that drinks at a fascinating wavelength.
