The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/4000/160-32 is a combined inverter and battery charger designed for 12V battery systems requiring 230V AC output. It is suited to off-grid installations, marine and vehicle applications, and backup power systems where a single, integrated unit is preferable to separate components. The 160A charger input and 32A transfer switch make it capable of handling substantial loads while managing battery charging from shore power or a generator. PowerControl function limits the load on a generator or shore supply by reducing charger current when AC loads are high. PowerAssist function supplements shore or generator power with battery power during peak demand, allowing a smaller AC supply to handle larger loads. Two AC outputs: one with UPS functionality (no-break) and one that can be disconnected when running on battery to shed non-essential loads.
