Vintage Solid Kookaburra Charm

A completely solid mid-century 9ct gold bird charm, which I believe is a kookaburra, with a wonderfully long beak and beautifully detailed feathers. I have a real weakness for solid vintage animal charms. They do not necessarily need to represent an animal with any particular personal significance (at least in my collection; I have the weirdest collection of animals who I just fell in love with their personalities). Sometimes a tiny gold creature simply looks excellent, has bags of personality and deserves a place in the stack. I have a springbok in my own charm collection for precisely this reason. This one is satisfying and substantial for its size, with crisp detailing and a lovely sculptural shape. A very cool little bird, whether or not you have ever met a kookaburra.
