Dreamery by the Sea

Sometimes the most beautiful creations begin with what the world leaves behind. After Hurricane Nate, Susan Waldrop began collecting pieces of wood that washed ashore on Dauphin Island. These weathered fragments became the foundation for a series of artwork where nature and imagination came together. By carefully lifting thin layers from the wood and incorporating them onto canvas, Susan allowed each unique piece to guide the design. Her vision was to create castles floating above the sea, but the wood itself helped shape each magical landscape. Dreamery by the Sea invites us into a world where anything feels possible: where castles drift above waves, imagination takes flight, and ordinary pieces of the past become something joyful and new.
