Artist Bio: Mim Cole, also known as Mimmim, is a proud Larrakia (Gulumoerrgin), Wardaman, and Karajarri woman from Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, with a rich multicultural heritage. Inspired by her family, culture, and upbringing on Larrakia/Gulumoerrgin country, Mim has developed a unique artistic style that blends traditional and contemporary influences through painting, printmaking, and design. Rooted in themes of identity, family, community, country, unity, and healing, Mim’s vibrant and dynamic work combines traditional and abstract elements, pushing artistic boundaries through her business, Mimmim. Her vision is to share the beauty of Aboriginal art in innovative ways, foster conversations that promote healing and unity, and bring financial independence and cultural pride to herself, her family, and her community.
