This luxurious coat is handcrafted from a vintage American carriage blanket made between 1890 and 1930, a time when textile artistry was at its peak and materials such as wool and mohair were woven to endure both time and travel. The coat’s back panel unveils a breathtaking floral tableau: vibrant lilies and red roses in full bloom cascade across a deep, dark background, their lush green stems and earthy brown leaves lending the design a sense of natural elegance and movement. Along the top and bottom borders, a geometric motif in shades of olive, yellow, and spring green introduces a contrasting rhythmic pattern — a nod to the fusion of nature and structure. The collar, cuffs, and bottom hemline are lavishly trimmed in snow-white Mongolian lamb’s wool, adding a cloudlike softness and high contrast to the rich tones of the blanket.
