Cyanotypes on Clay -SEP

Cyanotype on Clay Workshop SEP 26th 10am-1pm In this two day, 3-hour per day workshop, participants will be guided through the historic cyanotype process to create stunning blue prints directly on clay surfaces. We will be working with light-sensitive chemicals and UV exposure from the sun to transfer images onto bisque-fired ceramic pieces. Each participant is encouraged to bring botanical specimens, lace, keys, paper cutouts, or other flat objects to create unique photograms! You are also welcome to bring your own bisque ware if you would like but we will be providing bisque tiles for you to work with. Expect to leave the workshop with your pieces at the end of the workshop. No experience necessary!! ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED! We will be using light-sensitive chemicals and students will learn proper safety procedures for handling and mixing solutions.
