Sika MaxMix Concentrated Mortar Plasticiser – 1L Sika MaxMix Concentrated Mortar Plasticiser is a highly concentrated liquid admixture designed to improve the workability and consistency of sand and cement mortar. This product replaces the Optimix Mortar Plasticiser previously stocked by PCRS. If you have bought Optimix from us in the past, Sika MaxMix is now our stocked concentrated mortar plasticiser alternative. Ideal for bricklaying, pointing, rendering and screeding, MaxMix produces a smoother, more workable mortar that is easier to spread, trowel and finish while reducing the amount of water required in the mix. The concentrated 1 litre bottle is equivalent to approximately 25 litres of conventional mortar plasticiser, making it economical to use, easy to store and simple to dose accurately. Dilute the measured plasticiser into the gauging water before adding it to the mortar mix. Recommended dosage: 5–10ml per 50kg of cement. Do not add the concentrated product directly to dry cement or mortar. Sika MaxMix Concentrated Mortar Plasticiser is designed specifically for sand and cement mixes and should not be used in structural concrete, lime-based mortars or mixed with other admixtures in the same gauging water unless approved by the manufacturer.
