Learn to Sew Series (Burlington, Tuesdays 5:30-7:30pm)
Want to learn how to sew? Hem pants or make a pillow? Join our Learn to Sew Series for step-by-step guidance and learn useful hand sewing, embroidery and sewing techniques. We will explore a variety of tools and materials and create usable projects along the way! Sessions meet weekly. Each month will focus on a project to help you learn fundamental techniques, incorporate prior knowledge and develop confidence. Example projects and topics include: tote bag, hem pants and alter clothes, hand embroidery, quilting and more! Learn new techniques with every project Understand the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ Walk away with finished projects! Relaxing, supportive and creative environment is the space and time you need for yourself Store your projects and supplies at the studio so you don't need to schlep anything around! Materials Included: Sewing needle set, pin cushion, tea towel and 1 skein of embroidery floss. All patterns are provided. Sewing machines are available if you don't have your own (choose the "Rent a Machine" option during check out). Fabric is not included, so feel free to bring your own or purchase in store. Min. Age Requirements: 8-10 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult who is also signed up for the same series. +13yrs old can attend independently, but an adult should be reachable via cell phone or present in the same building during the workshop. Minors must have an adult to sign the liability waiver upon joining. Before You Sign Up: This is a brand-new workshop series, so sessions are just getting started! Each session requires a minimum of two attendees to run. In the rare case that no one else has signed up a few days before your scheduled session, we'll reach out to let you know and reschedule you for the next available date. Cancellation: You can cancel any time and manage the subscription directly from the link included in your confirmation email. Missed Sessions: In case you cannot make it to a session in the series, you can join the same session running at a different location or simply go to the next session and your instructor will catch you up.
