LINGUA FRANCA / noun / any common language systematically used for communication between groups of people who do not share a native language. LINGUA FRANCA is an idea that I was ruminating on for months. After drawing over 1,000 characters, this piece sat in my studio until I had the courage to make the first rip. Once I started there was no going back. Destruction became a part of its creation. I was left with 3 uneven pieces on my studio floor. It was like piecing back together a lost text,—a LINGUA FRANCA of sorts. AVAILABLE JULY 24 – AUGUST 7, 2026 TIMED PRINT EDITION: This is a timed print edition, meaning an unlimited number of prints will be available to purchase within a limited window of time: July 24 – Aug 7, 2026. After Aug 7th, this piece will never be reprinted. Each print comes with 9 characters embellished in 24 karat gold. FRAMING: All prints come framed as shown with conservation clear acrylic protection. The 3 fragments are float mounted to the artist's specifications on a black background.
