BitBox01

The BitBox01, originally sold as the Digital Bitbox, was a minimalist Swiss hardware wallet from Shift Crypto. It stored private keys on a dedicated security chip and backed them up to a microSD card, so a wallet could be restored offline without ever typing a recovery phrase into a computer. This product is discontinued and is no longer sold. Shift Crypto ended sales in November 2019 and stopped releasing firmware updates after November 2020, at which point the lifetime warranty also ended. The last version of the BitBoxApp with full support is 4.37.3; newer versions can open a BitBox01 to manage backups, but cannot send transactions with it. If you still hold coins on a BitBox01, move them to a current hardware wallet. Your recovery phrase or microSD backup restores onto any compatible wallet, so nothing is lost in the process.
