Designed for use with the Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk III* (SMLE) rifle, this set features an all-metal steel scabbard. Maker & Date: Clear "MA" (Lithgow) stamp over "1907" pattern designation, dated "11 43" for November 1943 production. Markings: Broad arrow acceptance mark, inspection stamps, bend test mark, and assembly serial ("AA 57") on the lower blade/crossguard area. Grips & Handle: Original wooden grip scales deeply stamped "AUSTRALIA", secured with standard split-nut bolts. Condition: Blade retains good original darkened/blued finish with light surface patina, expected operational scuffs, and minor edge wear. Handle wood shows honest military wear and dark patina. Scabbard: Fitted with an all-steel sheet metal scabbard featuring an integrated belt clip/stud.
