Silk Bandana Hand Painted The Sunset Swallow

This is a hand painted silk square small in rich golden yellows, violet, pink and greeny blue blends The swallow design is hand drawn by Louise in the art of batik. This is when hot wax is used as a resist to create images of fabric the wax is removed at the end and the scarf is washed and steam ironed to give a lovely silky smooth finish. The design is inspired by the swallow a sign of summer everybody looks forward to them arriving every year. I love to watch the swallows flying around on warm summer evenings, this scarf has a summer sunset feel with the flying swallow to add some joy.
