Euphorbia spectabilis
Euphorbia spectabilis (Monadenium spectabile) is endemic to Tanzania, growing within the sandy and rocky soils of Iringa Escarpment. This stout succulent usually grows unbranched, although it can be occasionally sparsely branched. At first emerging pale green, the stem develops an almost white surface over time, while red-brown tubercles are scattered along. Fleshy leaves with burgundy undersides emerge during the summer months. WATERING Water when soil is dry 100%. Water only lightly during winter months. LIGHT REQUIREMENTS Full sun. FEED Use a cactus fertiliser 3 times between March - November. REPOTTING Repot every 2-3 years. Use a well-draining cactus compost. POT SIZE / HEIGHT See available sizes below.
