The High Spirits Kestrel Signature 'High D' Flute is a handcrafted Native American style flute tuned to D minor (440 Hz). As the highest octave D flute in the High Spirits range, it produces a bright, clear voice with excellent responsiveness, making it ideal for solo performance, drum circles and accompanying the High Spirits Condor Bass Flute in D. Available in Aromatic Cedar, Walnut, and Walnut with Turquoise Inlay, each flute is handcrafted and finished with non-toxic oils. Aromatic Cedar offers a warm, resonant tone, while Walnut provides a bright, focused sound. The Turquoise Inlay variant features the same walnut construction, enhanced with genuine turquoise cabochons for added visual appeal. Its innovative airflow design delivers excellent control and projection, while the compact 38 cm (15 inch) size makes it perfect for beginners, travel and outdoor playing. This 6-hole flute includes a removable leather hole cover, allowing it to be played as either a 5-hole or 6-hole flute. It also plays the relative major diatonic scale in F.
