● Shibori is a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique in which fabric is bound with thread or clamped using special tools before dyeing. These protected areas resist the dye, creating beautiful three-dimensional patterns unique to each piece. Because every fold and tie is done by hand, no two shibori designs are ever exactly the same.
