Our lightweight, durable handwoven basket bags are crafted in El Salvador by a small, female-led team of skilled artisans, using traditional weaving techniques. Each basket bag is made from 100% HDPE plastic strands, combining virgin and recycled materials. HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is one of the most widely recycled plastic polymers worldwide and is known for its strength and longevity. This material makes our basket bags waterproof, lightweight, UV-resistant, and extremely durable. The Small Rayas Collective basket bag can be worn as a compact bag for daily essentials or styled as a chic evening purse with an unexpected, contemporary twist. Please note that every basket bag is handmade and one of a kind.
