Sewn in a beautifully supple crêpe scattered with a bold and joyful fuchsia floral print on a white ground, with green leaves threading through the blooms, this dress is alive with the vivid beauty of a garden in its finest hour. The white cotton piqué Peter Pan collar frames the neckline with a fresh, crisp contrast letting the print sing around it. Flutter sleeves fall from the shoulder in ruffles, giving the silhouette an irresistible lightness and movement. The hand-smocked bodice, gathered from the floral fabric itself, is worked in deep fuchsia and green, the stitching dancing across each pleat in a rich, tightly embroidered pattern. At the back, a butterfly wing shaped bow ties the dress with a sweet, considered finish. The skirt falls below in full, generous gathers, the floral crêpe swirling with every step.
