Be Alert and of Sober Mind — 1 Peter 5:8 Standing Firm Against the Enemy Christian Canvas Wall Art

It rarely comes as a frontal attack. It comes on the tired night, in the old temptation dressed up as harmless, in the bitterness you feed a little at a time. The enemy does not wait until you are ready. What you need is not more fear. It is to stand your ground, knowing Who stands behind you. This 1 Peter 5:8 Christian canvas wall art is an original oil painting set deep in a dark cave. On the left a gaunt lion with a ragged mane crouches low and roars, teeth bared, ready to spring. It is not the Lion of Judah; it is the counterfeit that prowls. On the right a man stands his ground in worn boots and a rolled-sleeve work shirt, one arm raised straight, his open palm turned toward the beast. He does not run. Behind him Jesus stands in a soft golden light, one hand on his shoulder. 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV): “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” It hangs by the front door now, and he sees it every morning on his way out: stay awake, stand firm, you are not alone. A gift for the husband, father, brother or pastor who keeps watch. Ready to hang, available in six sizes, gallery-wrapped on a 1.25″ pine frame with the image printed around every edge.
