The Chunky Side Chick is a substantial two-seat timber bench with a built-in table at one end — because sometimes you want somewhere to sit, and sometimes you want a little something extra on the side. Broad armrests. A gently reclined planked back. Chunky braced legs. Solid underneath. Comfortable on top. Exactly how we like it. The integrated square side table sits snugly beside the seating area, leaving plenty of room for two while keeping your coffee, lunch, wine, book, phone or badly concealed bad decisions within easy reach. No awkward reaching. No balancing your drink between your knees. No pretending you’re only here for the furniture. Good support. And just enough extra space on the side to keep things interesting. All dimensions are provisional and confirmed before construction. THE WOOD Natural knots, grain, marks and irregularities are all part of the finished piece. Every one will be slightly different. Some smoother. Some rougher. Some with more knots than others. That’s just wood for you. If you’re after something perfectly uniform and completely predictable, this probably isn’t the relationship for you. MADE FOR YOU Available to commission from this concept design. Size, timber finish and table position can all be discussed to suit your space. Want the table on the other side? No problem. Prefer it wider, deeper, darker, chunkier or generally more substantial? Also not a problem. We’re very open-minded about modifications. Delivery is quoted separately according to location and access. If you’re in North Wales, we’ll usually bring it to you ourselves. Further afield, we’ll arrange the best way of getting it to you safely — pallet, courier, van, or whatever makes most sense for the piece. Some of the larger and more gloriously awkward creations may need a little extra organising, particularly if you’re a long way from us, but we’ll sort that with you directly. Collection is always welcome too. At the moment, we deliver within the UK only.
