Monument Study 1, 2024
The piece is a reconfiguration of the cement walls commonly found in the metro. It was inspired by the irregularity, isolation, and coldness of the spaces and structures we build and was meant to capture some sense of suspended collapse. KR notes that the lighting effect comes from his experience of nighttime cycling through the city on his fixed gear bike.
