All Leather Louis Vuitton Trunk, Cube Shape, Antique Patina, 1890-1900

Reference : MLV-0472 This Louis Vuitton trunk is very unusual by its “cube shape” dimensions and also due to the fact that it is all leather. The leather has a very nice and very warm toffee color patina. Its antique patina reveals many warm colors, stains and a lot of charm. It is not a surprise when you keep in mind that it is over 120 years old. It still has its painted customized French flag on the top and a couple of traveling labels on its sides. Solid brass Louis Vuitton stamped lock, clasps and studs. All its studs are solid brass and they are all stamped Louis Vuitton. Large leather handle on each side. Its interior is very interesting too, with its original lining, its Louis Vuitton label as well as its partly erased serial number. The ribbon making its quilting under its lid is stitched “Louis Vuitton”. All original interior. No smell inside. It is sold with its bespoke removable wooden stand to reach its 49 cm height. Please note that without it, its height is 42 cm. Underneath, it has kept its original leather and its wood slats. This trunk would be perfect as a coffee table, side table or a bedside cabinet, it is very chic!
