Datkid - Very Heavy Lead (LIMITED EDITION TAPE) [PRE-ORDER]

“Born in a tracksuit, raised in a hellzone…” Bristol native Datkid returns to High Focus Records with brilliant new album ‘Very Heavy Lead’. Five years since ‘Wakmo’ confirmed his status as one of the most infamous voices in the UK scene, Datkid is back with a striking body of new music across 18-tracks of signature krud. Illinformed and Dumb Logic share production duties across the LP; each track being a truly collaborative process as the two producers go B2B playing instruments, honing in on new versions of the classic, boom bap sonics that have shaped so many seminal moments over the years. With features from a cast of familiar faces including Jack Jetson and Bil next on ‘Hold that’, Leaf Dog and Eric The Red on ‘Hour Glass’, Crossbow T on ‘Pull Up / Polar Bear’ and Fugees / Eminem collaborator Young Zee on ‘Fresh Out’ plus 2 x massive posse cuts Feat. Split Prophets (Res One, Bil Next, Upfront, Flying Monk, Paro, Badhabitz, Bew Bonik) on ‘Church Rd’ and RLD (Leaf Dog, BVA, Eric the Red, Sean Peng, Smellington Piff, Jman, Jack Jetson) on ‘Tabernackle’, ‘Very Heavy Lead’ combines new found energies with a feeling of true timelessness; Datkid wearing his trials and tribulations like a glove across a body of work that effortlessly embodies the rolling hills, back streets and dark alleyways of Bristol’s underbelly across banger-after-banger and punchline-after-punchline. ‘Very Heavy Lead’ is scheduled for release 26th November, 2026 on High Focus Records.
