The result is a timber that resists rot, insects and UV naturally — and gains character the longer it lives. Order a sample pack to see and feel the texture, colour and char before committing to the full quantity. Indoor or outdoor? Both. Yakisugi works as exterior cladding, fencing and soffits, and equally well as interior feature walls and ceilings. Will the colour fade? The char itself is permanent. The applied coating slowly weathers under UV and will require periodic re-oiling. Can I order a custom colour? Yes. We can colour-match to any Rubio Monocoat, Woca, Intergrain or Cutek shade.
