Irish Sun — Fine Art Print
Irish Sun is a fine art print by Irish artist Kevin Lowery. “I’ve travelled north and south and east and west in search of mountain peaks; but never until here and now have I found peaks whose summits reached so near to God as do you men of Donegal.” Rockwell Kent, It’s Me O Lord (1955) Created as part of Kevin Lowery’s LAND’S END - An Artist’s Journey to Glenlough 100 Years After Rockwell Kent exhibition, Irish Sun is a tribute to Kent’s painting of the same name, inspired by the monumental sea cliffs and untamed Atlantic landscape of County Donegal. The work reflects Kevin’s experience of travelling through and painting a landscape shaped by exposure, isolation and continually changing weather. The exhibition runs at the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, from October 3 to November 14. Professionally produced using museum-quality giclée printing using archival inks on fine art paper, each print is individually signed and titled by Kevin Lowery.
