Replacement Stylus for JN-PMONO 0.7E Cartridge The 0.7 mil replacement stylus for the Nagaoka MP-MONO — the geometry optimised for modern mono cutting, and the one the cartridge ships with. Mono records were not all cut the same way, which is why Nagaoka builds two styli for one mono body. This is the standard one: a 0.4 × 0.7 mil bonded elliptical diamond on an aluminium-alloy cantilever, sized for the groove dimensions used in modern record cutting. Nagaoka's description of the result is a clear, well-outlined image with high resolution. Buy it either as a like-for-like replacement when the original wears, or as the second half of a two-stylus setup — one 0.7 mil for modern mono reissues, one 1.0 mil for the 1940s and 1950s pressings — so a single MP-MONO body can cover a collection that spans both eras. Like every JN-P assembly it carries the stylus, cantilever and suspension, and it pushes on and pulls off by hand with no realignment.
