Beautiful Hand-Knotted 54 Bead Mālā with Rare Blue Amber, Golden Sheen Obsidian, Jet & Onyx with Thai Buddha Pendant This beautiful 54 bead Mālā is one of my individual handmade creations, combining rare Blue Amber with Golden Sheen Obsidian, Jet and Black Onyx in 8mm beads. The combination of deep blacks, subtle golden shimmer and the unusual Blue Amber gives this Mālā such a beautiful look. Finished with TierraCast pewter and coated Hematite spacers and a gorgeous Thai Buddha pendant. Every bead has been individually hand-knotted by me, creating a Mālā that can be worn as a beautiful piece of jewellery or used for meditation, reflection and spiritual practice. Rare Blue Amber Blue Amber is a fascinating and highly sought-after variety of fossilised tree resin. Rather than appearing bright blue in ordinary light, its famous blue fluorescence is revealed most dramatically under UV light, while some pieces can also display beautiful blue or greenish tones in natural sunlight. Blue Amber is best known from the Dominican Republic, with material also found in Indonesia. Its unusual optical properties and limited sources make good-quality Blue Amber particularly prized by collectors. Metaphysically, Amber is traditionally associated with warmth, positivity and cleansing. Blue Amber is also believed to encourage calm, clarity and spiritual awareness. Golden Sheen Obsidian Golden Sheen Obsidian is a beautiful natural volcanic glass characterised by its incredible golden shimmer when it catches the light. Traditionally associated with protection and self-discovery, it is believed to help reveal what may be hidden beneath the surface, encourage personal growth and provide grounding during periods of change. Jet Jet is an organic gemstone formed from ancient wood that has undergone immense pressure over millions of years. Traditionally used as a protective stone, Jet is believed to absorb unwanted energy and encourage grounding, stability and emotional strength. Its beautiful deep black colouring works perfectly alongside the Onyx and Obsidian in this Mālā. Black Onyx Black Onyx is traditionally associated with strength, resilience and protection. It is believed to encourage grounding, self-control and focus while helping the wearer feel centred and secure. The Buddha The Buddha is a beautiful symbol of wisdom, peace, compassion and the journey towards enlightenment. Paired with the grounding and protective stones in this Mālā, the Thai Buddha pendant creates a meaningful focal point and a gentle reminder to return to stillness, awareness and the present moment. About Your Mālā Each Mālā is individually designed and handmade by me. No two are ever exactly the same. Even when similar stones are used, the natural variations within every bead ensure that each finished creation is completely unique. Your Mālā will arrive in its own hand-stamped cotton bag with an information card. The best way to choose your Mālā is through intuition — simply notice the stones, colours and energy you naturally feel drawn towards. A Mālā can be used for meditation and reflection, as a connection to the stones you have chosen, or simply worn as a beautiful and meaningful piece of jewellery. Traditionally, a full Japa Mālā contains 108 beads and a Guru bead, although Mālās can also be created with 18, 27 or 54 beads. A 54 bead Mālā represents half of the traditional 108 and can be used for Japa practice by completing two rounds. To meditate with your Mālā, hold it comfortably in your hand and move through the beads one at a time with your thumb while repeating your chosen mantra, intention or affirmation. Ultimately, your Mālā becomes what you want it to be. Over time it becomes connected with your intentions, thoughts, hopes and dreams.
