Calathea 'Medallion'

Calathea ‘Medallion’ (Goeppertia veitchiana or Goeppertia roseopicta, depending on the variety) is a beautiful tropical foliage plant known for its large, rounded leaves featuring intricate patterns of dark green, light green, and creamy silver markings, with rich burgundy-purple undersides. It thrives in bright, indirect light, warm temperatures, high humidity, and consistently moist, well-draining soil. Using filtered, distilled, or rainwater can help prevent brown leaf edges, and direct sunlight should be avoided to preserve its vibrant foliage. This elegant plant adds a lush, tropical touch to indoor spaces and is pet-friendly and non-toxic to cats and dogs. It is best suited for outdoor growing in USDA hardiness zones 10–12, as it is sensitive to cold and frost and is typically grown indoors in cooler climates.
