IRDB 06 PUK-ST4 Dietz Wire Break Ring Sensor, 6.1 mm, PNP NO/NC

The Dietz IRDB 06 PUK-ST4 is a 6.1 mm inductive wire break ring sensor for continuous monitoring of conductive wire passing through the sensing opening. During normal operation, the sensor detects the presence of the wire. If the wire breaks or is no longer present in the sensing field, the output changes so the machine control system can respond. The IRDB 06 PUK-ST4 uses static sensing and provides a switchable PNP NO/NC output, allowing normally open or normally closed operation to be selected on the same sensor. Sensitivity and pulse stretching are adjustable, and the sensor connects through an M12 plug. Applications Typical applications include: continuous wire-break monitoring fine-wire monitoring wire feeding equipment wire drawing and forming equipment winding and unwinding systems coil and spool processing cable and conductor processing automated production equipment Replaces Previous Dietz Wire Break Models The IRDB 06 PUK-ST4 replaces the earlier Dietz wire break sensors: IRDB 4 POK-ST4 IRDB 4 PSK-ST4 IRDB 6 POK-ST4 IRDB 6 PSK-ST4 The current model uses the same mounting footprint as the previous Dietz wire break sensors and combines switchable PNP NO/NC operation in one 6.1 mm sensor. For applications replacing an older 4 mm model, confirm that the larger 6.1 mm ring opening is suitable.
