This little songbird inspired some of the earliest birdlife conservation efforts as it became a popular and exploited bird of trade in Europe throughout the 19th century. Desired for its pleasant song it was trapped and sold as a cage bird and distributed around the world. Each Songbird whistle necklace is skilfully hand-shaped from clay, fired, then hand-painted by our team of creative artisans in Northern Thailand.
