Commencal Supreme DH V5 – 2026 The Commencal Supreme DH V5 is an alloy downhill race mountain bike with 220mm of rear travel, a dual-crown downhill fork and a mullet wheel setup — a 29″ front wheel and a 27.5″ rear. It is offered at outset.bike in three 2026 builds — Signature in Pure White, RockShox in Pure White and Ride in Pyrite Grey — in sizes S, M, L and XL. The Supreme DH V5 is a proper downhill race chassis at 2026 model-year pricing — the platform the Supreme DH V5.2 was developed from, with the same geometry. A FULL DOWNHILL RACE PLATFORM Commencal builds the Supreme DH V5 around a triple butted 6066 alloy frame with 220mm of rear travel on a 250 x 75mm shock, with a custom upper idler guide paired with an ISCG 05 lower chain guide mount. The mullet format pairs a fast-rolling 29″ front wheel with a 27.5″ rear for clearance on steep terrain, and the chassis is highly adjustable: a low/high geometry setting, a 4-position shock anchor, a 3-position rear wheelbase adjustment and three rear-triangle stiffness options, with recommended shock sag of 20–25%. The frame itself weighs 5.3kg. Why it matters: few bikes at this price give you this much scope to tune the chassis to your track. CHOOSING YOUR BUILD Signature – Pure White is the Fox Factory build: a Fox 40 Factory fork with the Grip X2 damper and a Fox DHX2 Factory coil shock with size-specific spring rates (425lbs on S through 575lbs on XL), both with high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment. Shifting is SRAM GX DH 7-speed with SRAM Descendant DH cranks and an E13 LG1 chain guide, braking is SRAM Maven Silver 4-piston on 220mm HS2 rotors, and the wheels are DT Swiss FR-series rims on DT Swiss 350 hubs with a Maxxis High Roller III front / Minion DHR II rear DH-casing tyre pairing. RockShox – Pure White is the RockShox race build: a Boxxer Ultimate fork with 203mm of travel and the Charger 3 damper, and a Vivid Coil Ultimate DH shock with size-specific spring rates (400lbs on S through 550lbs on XL). SRAM GX DH 7-speed shifting, SRAM Maven Bronze 4-piston brakes on 220mm rotors, DT Swiss F1900 Classic wheels and Schwalbe Magic Mary front / Tacky Chan rear Super DH tyres in Addix Ultra Soft complete it. It weighs 18.7kg (average size S, without pedals) and is set up moto-style from the factory — front brake on the right lever, rear on the left. Ride – Pyrite Grey is the most accessible way onto the Supreme DH V5: a RockShox Boxxer Base 200mm fork with the Charger 3 RC damper, a Vivid Coil Base shock with size-specific spring rates, SRAM GX DH 7-speed shifting, TRP DH-R EVO Pro 4-piston brakes on 223mm rotors and DT Swiss F1900 Classic wheels on 370 Classic LN hubs. It weighs 18.6kg (average size S, without pedals). SIZING & GEOMETRY The Supreme DH V5 comes in S, M, L and XL. In the low geometry setting, reach runs 431, 456, 484 and 504mm, with a 63.3° head angle and 75.7° seat tube angle on every size; the high setting steepens both angles by 0.4° and adds 4mm of reach. Chainstays are 442mm on the S and 454mm on M, L and XL (low setting). As a guide, S suits riders 158–170cm (5′2″–5′7″), M suits 168–180cm (5′6″–5′11″), L suits 178–190cm (5′10″–6′3″) and XL suits 188–200cm (6′2″–6′7″). FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED The frame runs a Press Fit BB107 bottom bracket, an ISCG 05 lower chain guide mount with a custom upper idler guide, a 31.6mm seatpost with a 34.9mm clamp and a ZS56 headset. The rear axle is Commencal’s custom 200mm M12 standard on 157 x 12mm hub spacing, rear tyre clearance is 65mm, and the rear brake mount is postmount 200mm with a 223mm maximum rotor; the frame is piggy-back shock compatible. Every build ships with down tube, chainstay and seatstay protectors and fork bumpers; the Signature adds a shuttle pad and a Fox 40 fender, and the RockShox build adds a RockShox fender.
