Copper Mercury Dime | Etched Mercury in Virgo Talismans

These are one-of-a-kind hand-made Copper Mercury Dime Talismans, each in a handsome presentation box. I’m pleased and honored to offer the remaining two from this collection of hand-etched copper pieces, birthed at a moment chosen under the auspices of Mercury as instruments of wisdom, communication, and discovery. Each bears restored figures from the Key of Solomon, crafted to embody the quick, subtle, and ingenious power of Hermes-Mercury - wily patron of poets, orators, travelers, scholars, magicians, merchants, and thieves. Two Classic Finish talismans remain: The Fourth Pentacle of Mercury is relied upon to enhance the powers of the mind and grant hidden knowledge. It is written that it “serves to acquire Knowledge and understanding of all things created, and to seek out and to penetrate into hidden things.” The Fifth Pentacle of Mercury is trusted for opening the road, revealing new possibilities, and removing obstacles from the path. It is said to “open doors in whatever way they may be closed, and nothing it may encounter can resist it.” Each talisman also bears the sacred Planetary Seal of Mercury, an ancient symbol linked to the dynamic, cerebral, and unbounded energy associated with the planet Mercury in Traditional Astrology. Each begins as a one-ounce copper, larger-scale reproduction of the classic Mercury dime. On the Day and Hour of Mercury, while Mercury was in the first five degrees of Virgo, each prepared coin was etched in acid using Renaissance techniques, washed and neutralized, blackened with an ancient-method sulfur patina, and hand-finished to its final form. Keep yours in your home, office, vehicle, or with you as you move through the world to enhance your Mercurial gifts and influence the forces of chance.
