A rich, sun baked terracotta fabric forms the foundation of this dress. The collar is cut into soft, rounded petals, dotted in white for a playful, polka dot finish and echoes the shape of a flower in bloom. At the waist, a delicate smocked band traces a fine lattice pattern with polka dot stitches in soft cream and pink thread, and bridges the bodice above with the gathered skirt below. The short puffed sleeves are trimmed with the polka dot print creating a subtle wink to both the collar and butterfly bow sash cut in the same fabric. Likewise for the self covered buttons which finish the back with elegance. This dress borrows that same color, soft and sun baked, its collar cut into rounded petals dotted in white like seeds waiting to be planted or drops of water freshly poured.
