How to apply tape-in extensions How do I attach tape-in extensions? With our Pro Deluxe Pastel Line tape-in extensions you choose the permanent hair-extension option that is unbeatable in price and quality. They are bonded firmly into the hair with heat using the tape strip at the top of the strands. Once in place, the extensions hold rock-solid and cannot slip. Our stylists recommend: 5 to 10 strands for color effects and highlights 15 to 20 strands for volume (hair thickening) 30 to 40 strands for a complete hair extension Please note! We advise caution when applying the tapes after the following treatments: Keratin treatment Oil treatments (e.g. argan oil, coconut oil, etc.) Conditioner They can affect the hold of your tape-in extensions. We therefore recommend washing the hair thoroughly before applying the tapes, as oils and fats do not go well with the tape adhesive. The hair should also be completely dry.
