Design Notes: Stone Town Jeans: Inspired by Stone Town in Zanzibar, an historic Swahili trading city, The Stone Town Jeans are rooted in Tanzanian heritage. Two women are dressed in the same traditional cloth that my mother wears, the city where my father was raised and where my grandfather passed down the gift of entrepreneurship. With every step, the image moves. With every wear, the denim ages, and as it ages, another chapter is added to a story that began generations before me.
