Although two of the founding members, Colin Cooper and Pete Haycock, have since passed away, the CBB continues to tour regularly around the globe and release studio albums to this day. On September 17, 1983, the band took the stage at the former manor and moated castle Gut Opherdicke near Unna (Germany) as part of a Rockpalast festival. The British blues rockers were the headliners of the day, even ahead of a then-up-and-coming Bryan Adams, who was presenting his hit album "Cuts Like a Knife" as part of his first official European tour. For the Climax Blues Band, it was a performance featuring their most successful lineup: Pete Haycock (guitar, vocals), Colin Cooper (saxophone, harmonica, vocals), Jeff Rich (drums), George Glover (keyboards, vocals), and bassist John "Rhino" Edwards, who joined Status Quo shortly thereafter. Now this legendary Rockpalast performance is being released on CD/DVD and vinyl, and of course it wouldn't be complete without the CBB classics "Couldn't Get It Right" and "Sign of the Times." A piece of Rockpalast history and a must-have for fans of the Climax Blues Band and British blues rock. Tracklisting Disc 1 Side 1 1. Blackjack and Me 2. Friends in High Places 3. Movie Queen 4.
