Volkswagen Audi RS4 S4 VW4.2 Crankshaft – OE 079105101AT

OverviewNew RS4 S4 VW4.2 crankshaft for Volkswagen Audi applications, cross-referenced to 079105101AT. Intended for rebuild work where the original crankshaft is out of tolerance, has spun a bearing or is otherwise beyond reclamation.Engine application Engine code: RS4 S4 VW4.2 Listed for: Volkswagen Audi OE references: 079105101AT How this part failsA crankshaft carries the connecting rods and converts their motion into rotation, so it runs on precision-ground journals inside replaceable bearing shells. It fails when oil pressure drops, clearances go out of spec or debris passes through the bearings. Typical symptoms are a deep knock under load, low oil pressure at idle, metallic debris in the oil and visibly scored or blued journals once the sump is off.Specifications Engine code RS4 S4 VW4.2 Listed applications Volkswagen Audi OE / cross-reference numbers 079105101AT Supplier part number WS-379A Crankshaft length 466.2mm Warranty (as stated) 1 year or 10,000 KM, whichever comes first Condition New Minimum order 1 piece Fitment checks before orderingFitment must be confirmed against the engine code (RS4 S4 VW4.2) and the OE number on the part being replaced. Similar-capacity engines in the same model range can use different crankshafts.Rebuild notesA replacement crank should be checked against the block before assembly: main and big-end journal diameters, taper and ovality, thrust clearance and runout. New bearing shells matched to the measured journal size are required, and the oil ways should be cleaned and the rear seal replaced while access is open. Assembly lubricant, correct bolt torque and a plastigauge check on each journal are standard practice. What is includedSupplied as one crankshaft. Bearings, seals, bolts and gaskets are not included unless stated, and a rebuild normally requires new main and big-end bearings matched to the journal size.Availability and warrantyThe listing does not publish a stock quantity, so availability is confirmed by the supplier at order rather than shown here.
