The Mouse House Apple Smoked Cheddar 200g

A rich, mature cheddar traditionally smoked over applewood chips, giving it a gentle smoky flavour with a slightly sweeter finish than you get from stronger smoked cheeses. A touch of paprika adds a little warmth and helps round everything off without taking over the flavour of the cheddar. It has a smooth, firm texture with plenty of proper cheddar character, followed by that softer applewood smokiness coming through afterwards. It’s a really easy one to enjoy and works just as well on a cheeseboard as it does in sandwiches, toasties or alongside cold meats and chutneys. Suitable for vegetarians and gluten free. Useful Tips Take it out of the fridge around 20 to 30 minutes before serving to let the flavour open up properly. It’s brilliant with crusty bread, crackers, apple slices or a good chutney, and it also melts really well into burgers, toasties and baked potatoes.
