Handpainted Wooden Fowey Gig Pins

These stunning wooden gig pins have been handpainted by talented young artist Elyse, featuring the red & white boats of River Fowey Gig Club. Elyse is a gig rower herself, based up on the beautiful Rame peninsula and is trying to raise funds for a visit to Croatia with her college as part of Operation Wallacea, a biodiversity & conservation research programme. Pins are approx 28cm long, 3cm wide at the top and tapered. These pins are what the wooden gig oars sit between and create the familiar clunking sound you might well have heard up and down the river here in Fowey. As each pin is handpainted, each is a truly unique piece of artwork, supporting a brilliant young talent.
