They replace the factory downpipes and remove the catalytic converters. Because they remove the catalytic converters, they're intended for off-road and competition use. Missing or modified manufacturer-fitted emissions equipment, such as the catalytic converter, is a major defect at the MOT, so the car isn't road legal set up this way.
