Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (20th Anniversary Edition) - Vinyl Record

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's self-titled debut turns twenty with this anniversary vinyl reissue. Released by the band themselves in 2005 with no label behind them, it became one of the defining word-of-mouth success stories of the blog era and earned a 9.0 and Best New Music from Pitchfork.Alec Ounsworth's yelping, wide-eyed vocals ride a heady mix of left-field pop and exuberant indie rock, reworking classic new wave touchstones for a new generation. The ramshackle, homemade sound was always part of the charm, and two decades on it has only grown. "The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth", "Details Of The War", "Over And Over Again (Lost And Found)" and the sprawling "Heavy Metal" still sound as giddy and urgent as they did the first time around. The anniversary edition arrives with a fresh reimagining of the original artwork, made to celebrate the album and the band's 2025 world tour. An essential piece of 2000s indie rock for any collection, and a perfect excuse to hear it again on vinyl.Side A 1. Clap Your Hands! 2. Let The Cool Goddess Rust Away 3.
