The receiver/speaker is distinguished by left and right sides. The blue one is for the left ear and the red one is for the right ear. They cannot be used interchangeably. The numbers 0-3 represent the cable length of the Receiver/Speaker. The smaller the number, the shorter the cable. The letters S, M, and P indicate the power level of the Receiver/Speaker. If you replace the Receiver/Speaker with a different power level, the hearing aid will need to be re-fitted and reprogrammed (which may require the assistance of an audiologist).
