Distilled at Cooley Distillery and matured for twelve years, this expression is a vatting of two exceptional single grain casks - one seasoned with Islay peated whisky, one finished in madeira. The result is a whiskey that shouldn't work on paper but absolutely does: the smoke from the Islay cask threads through the lush, dried fruit richness of the madeira, with single grain's naturally light, approachable character holding it all together.
