Design Prozesse: Peter von Arx Schrift in Plakat und Film (Michael Renner)

This poster announces the exhibition Design Processes: Peter von Arx: Typography in Posters and Film (but in German) at the Institute of Visual Communication. It showcased posters and films by the graphic designer Peter von Arx (born 1937) as well as teaching materials from his course on film graphics. Von Arx was a pioneer of film and moving type, and as a legendary educator at the Basel School of Design from 1968 to 1997, he shaped international design pedagogy. This poster by AGI member Michael Renner (with Shane McLean and Tom Ferraro) celebrates the celebration in black, white, and a spot varnish. A handsome thing if you love black.
